This luxury apartment complex offers gorgeous luxury one and two bedroom apartment homes with upscale amenities, just minutes from downtown Plantation, FL. An urban oasis located just north of Broward, it’s a pet friendly complex with a six story parking garage and high energy consumption using a lot of 24-hour lighting. They called Brightology to help solve their high energy costs, complex safety and general lighting aesthetics.

CHALLENGES/RISKS

High energy consumption with most lighting needing to be run for 24 hours
Five exit/evacuation stairwells that are on 24 hours a day, more than half of the 256 garage fluorescent run 24 hours a day and 508 hallway ceiling fixtures and wall sconces are on 24 hours a day
Dark large six story parking garage with low visibility. – Risk for property damage, accidents and slip & falls
Constantly occupied maintenance staff with the changing and ordering of fluorescent tubes, hallway bulbs, emergency/evacuation stair tubes and swapping out burnt ballasts on a weekly basis
Mixed matched color temperatures throughout changing the modern aesthetics of the community

Brightology Lighting reduced energy usage: total community wattage reduction of 50,720 watts with over 17,000 watts reduced just in the parking garage alone!
We provided a long lifespan: most products used have a 50,000 hour lifespan, making them last approximately 50 times longer than a typical incandescent bulb, 20-25 times longer than a halogen bulb and 8-10 times longer than a CFL
We provided our 5 year product and 1 year installation warranty: Most LED products used offer a 5 year warranty and are energy star rated. All installation projects by Brightology Lighting have a 1 year warranty.
We facilitated lighting uniformity: this affects human perception of environment and our ability to navigate it. Uniform lighting in LEDs allows us to perceive the environment continuously and without sudden breaks caused by drops in lighting levels.
