UMP is located on the state-of-the-art University Medical Hospital entrance and has tenants such as Barry University, Dermatology Experts, US Oncology of South Florida and Immediate Care Clinic to name a few. Management contacted Brightology Lighting with a need for a solution to the low lighting levels in the parking lot area.
CHALLENGES
- Only a few lighting poles in the parking area providing very low lighting levels
- Risk of homeless population circling the area causing a risk to employee safety
- Dark emergency exit stairwells that housed homeless population
- Unable to find a company that sells and installs proper lighting that meets city codes
- Brightology Lighting increased lighting levels by more that 70% using 300 watt LED flood lights on rooftop
- Significantly increased security
- Decreased the comfort in stairwells to transients by increasing lighting levels
- Provided a higher level of security in parking lot to employees exiting building during late night hours
